Purpose
This is your main work interface, it friendly organizes all functions to several tabs, so as to let you to do more works on this interface.
Open Method
It shows automatically after you ran Auto Mail Sender™ File Edition, if not, please click the corresponding system tray icon to display it.
Interface and Illustration
Banner
- The banner region displays program logo, name, short description, license type and the help & license functions.
- You can click program logo or name to visit AMSFE's official site at https://www.automailsender.com/file-edition.
- Click license button will display a popup menu that contains 'View/Upgrade License...', 'Purchase License/Service' and 'Retrieve License Key' items.
- Click help button will display a popup menu that contains 'Online Help', 'Recommend to Friends', 'Request Support', 'Home Page', 'Online FAQ', 'Official Blog', 'Subscribe to Blog's RSS Feed', 'Check Latest Version' and 'About' items.
Module Tabs
- Just click the tab to switch module.
- AMSFE friendly organizes all functions to the following tabs: Start, Email Folders, Interfaces & Samples, Macros, SMTP Accounts, Proxy Servers and Preferences & Tools.
Start
- The first tab page you will see after AMSFE started.
- It friendly organizes all modules as links under 3 categories: Operational Steps, Tools/Features, Current Queue & Sendings.
- Just click the link to visit the corresponding module/tool/feature.
Email Folders
- Manages all your email folders. AMSFE will read emails from the supported files under these folders to make automatic emailing.
- Just write your email files according to Interfaces & Samples, and then add their containing folders to get automatic emailing. Just add, do NOT need check.
- <Add Emails Folder...> - use it to add email folder (checks validity automatically).
- <Open Selection> - opens the selected email folder(s).
- <Delete Selection> - deletes the selected email folder(s).
Interfaces & Samples
- In order to timely provide you with the latest interface definitions and samples, we put them on the web, please write your email files according to them.
- Please CLICK HERE to read the latest interface definitions and/or download the sample files for reference.
Macros
- Manages all your macros, you can use macro to make the more universal email file to reduce your workload.
- AMSFE organizes all the macros as 4 categories: Recipients Information, Sending Date Time, My Information, Other Information.
- Macros work on the string replacement principle: you only need to PASTE macro names (formatted as {macro name} automatically) into email subject and/or content, and all the macros will be replaced with the actual texts when AMSFE sends emails.
- To ensure the macro is replaced with the actual text according to your needs, please do not change macro name in the email files, and it is case sensitive.
- The 'Recipient Information' macros will be replaced with the actual information according to the recipient of the outgoing messages.
Tips: 'Recipient Information' macros will be replaced only when the message has one [To], [CC] or [BCC] recipient, so these macros are used for one by one emails usually.
- The 'Sending Date and Time' macros will be replaced with the actual date and time, they will be refreshed per 1.6 seconds on "Macros" tab page.
- If you want to use the macros of 'My Information' and 'Other Information', please create them via clicking <Add...> button or input the [Actual Text] for them via clicking <Edit...> button.
Tips: if you have not set the following macros, AMSFE will set them according to the default SMTP account settings.
{My First Name}, {My Last Name}, {My Full Name}, {My Email Address}.
- AMSFE provides some common predefined and 'User-defined' macros for you, usually, you only need to input their [Actual Text] for yourself.
- <Add...> - adds a new macro on the Macro Editor interface.
- <Edit...> - edits the selected macro on the Macro Editor interface <Double-click>.
- <Delete> - deletes the selected macro(s) <Del>.
- <Copy Name> - copies the selected macro name (formatted as {macro name} automatically) to system clipboard, so as to let you to paste it to the subject and/or content filed in your email file. If you want to write it manually in your email file, please note that it is case sensitive, and must be formatted as {macro name}. If you design/write the content of rich text (HTML) email in AMSFE's Rich Text (HTML) Email Content Editor, you can also insert macro name directly by clicking <Insert> drop-down button.
Tips: the <Edit...> and <Delete> buttons are applied to the 'User-defined' macros only.
SMTP Accounts
- Manages your SMTP accounts, to send your emails, you must create a SMTP account at least.
If you created more than one SMTP accounts, you will get the following benefits:
Selecting the available SMTP account to send emails automatically if the default is unavailable.
- The default one (bold) will be used to send your emails by default.
- [SMTP Server] - the address of SMTP server, supports IP address and host name.
- [Port] - the port of SMTP server, default: 25, between 1 and 65,535.
- [Email Address] - your email address on the SMTP server. The most SMTP servers use it to authentication, so you should input your actual email address.
- <Add ->> - adds a new SMTP account, it supports creating the popular SMTP accounts directly, such as Gmail, Hotmail.
- <Edit...> - edits the selected SMTP account.
- <Copy...> - duplicates the selected SMTP account.
- <Delete> - deletes the selected SMTP account(s) <Del>.
- <Default> - sets the selected SMTP account as default.
Tips: if you have not set the following macros, AMSFE will set them according to the default SMTP account settings.
{My First Name}, {My Last Name}, {My Full Name}, {My Email Address}.
- <Test> - tests connection and logon for the selected SMTP account, please wait a few seconds for the testing result.
Proxy Servers
- Manages your proxy servers, if your computer can not connect to the SMTP server directly in your LAN, you can use the bold proxy server to connect to the SMTP server.
If you created more than one proxy servers, you will get the following benefits:
Selecting the available proxy server to connect to the SMTP server automatically if the default is unavailable.
- Connect to your SMTP servers through the default proxy server. - check it to use the bold proxy server to connect to your SMTP servers. Default: unchecked.
Tips: if you need to send emails through a proxy server (checked this option), please create one proxy server at least.
- [Address] - the address of proxy server, supports IP address and host name.
- [Port] - the port of proxy server, default: 1080, between 1 and 65,535.
- [User] - your user name on the proxy server.
- <Add...> - adds a new proxy server.
- <Edit...> - edits the selected proxy server.
- <Copy...> - duplicates the selected proxy server.
- <Delete> - deletes the selected proxy server(s) <Del>.
- <Default> - sets the selected proxy server as default.
- <Test> - tests connection for the selected proxy server, please wait a few seconds for the testing result.
Preferences & Tools
- Sets your preferences for using AMSFE, writing email content and sending emails, this tab page also contains several tools (links).
- Startup Position - sets where do you want to place AMSFE after it was opened, includes 'Normal' and 'System tray', default: 'Normal'.
- Default Font Name - sets the default font name for Rich Text (HTML) Email Content Editor. Default: Verdana.
- Default Font Size - sets the default font size for Rich Text (HTML) Email Content Editor. Default: 10.
- CC me to - if you want to get a copy of every outgoing message, please check it and specify one of your email addresses. Default: unchecked.
Tips: cannot use the email address of your default SMTP account as [CC me to] address due to a few SMTP servers reject sending emails to self.
- Maximal Resending Times If Failed - sets how many times do you want to resend the failed messages. Scope: 0 - 3 (0 = no try), default: 0.
- Resending Interval (Minutes) - sets the interval (minutes) for adjacent resendings. Scope: 10 - 120, default: 60.
- Sending Interval (Seconds) for One by One Mode - sets it to disencumber the frequency limitation for a few (E)SMTP servers. Scope: 10 - 300, default: 26.
Tips: here provides a few common sending settings only, most settings are in your email files.
- Rich Text (HTML) Email Content Editor - write/design your email content in this WYSIWYG HTML editor to get source code or HTML file.
- Email Files Checker - checks the validity of your email files according to the interface definitions, and reports the invalid elements.
- Queue and Log Manager - lets you know about which email files will be sent and the successful/failed sendings.
- <Save> - saves your settings.
- <Restore> - restores the default settings.

- Minimized this window will put the corresponding icon into system tray area, to restore it, just click this icon.
