- [Port] - the port of SMTP server, default: 25, between 1 and 65,535.
- [eMail address] - your email address on the SMTP server. The most SMTP servers use it to authentication, so you should input your actual email address.
- <Add ->> - adds a new SMTP account, it supports creating the popular SMTP accounts directly, such as Gmail, Hotmail.
Tips: if you have not set the following macros, AMSSE will set them according to the first SMTP account settings.
{My first name}, {My last Name}, {My full name}, {My eMail address}.
Proxy servers
- Manages your proxy servers, if your computer can not connect to the SMTP server directly in your LAN, you can use the bold proxy server to connect to the SMTP server.

2. shares the traffic between proxy servers.
- [Address] - the address of proxy server, supports IP address and host name both.
- [Port] - the port of proxy server, default: 1080, between 1 and 65,535.

- <Macro ->> - inserts the selected macro into current 'Text' signature, to use macro in your 'File' signatures, please insert it into 'Text' signature first, and then copy its name and paste it into your files.
- Text - sets current item as text signature.
- File - sets current item as file signature, you can click the picture buttons to choose a signature file or view the selected file.
Preferences
- Sets your preferences for using AMSSE, writing and sending messages.
- [Font name/size] - sets the default font for the email editor and/or content of new message, for the plain text message, it only affects email editor (because the plain text message does not have the font property for email content). Default: Verdana 10pt.
Tips: you will get the real-time preview when change font name or size.
- [CC me to] - if you want to get a copy of every sending, please check it and specify one of your eMail addresses. Default: unchecked.
Tips: cannot use the eMail address of your default SMTP account as [CC me to] address due to a few SMTP servers reject sending emails to self.
- [Maximum number of threads for one-by-one mode] - sets the maximum number of the threads for sending message, and it will affect the maximum of simultaneous connections. Scope: 1 - 99, default: 5.
Tips: the allowable maximum number of simultaneous connections for different SMTP servers are different, you can try to fine-tune it to get the fastest sending speed for your SMTP account(s).
- [Sending interval (seconds) for one-by-one mode] - sets a delay between each message in a sending. Usually, it is used to disencumber the frequency limitation for a few (E)SMTP servers. Scope: 0 - 60 (default: 0 = no pause, fastest).
Tips:
1. We do not recommend you change it, unless you got a lot of failed delivery and caused by the related reasons.
2. A few (E)SMTP servers will consider you sending spam if you send more than 100 messages per hour. Now, you can completely control it by utilizing this option in AMSSE.
- [Empty folder after sent folder attachment successfully (only for auto mode).] - in the automatic sending mode, if you want to empty folder after sent it as a folder attachment successfully, please check this option. Default: unchecked.
Tips: it is usually used to avoid sending duplicate files under a fixed folder. For instance: you plan to send the latest machine running log to some colleagues every day, and a program logs them into E:\logtosend folder with different file names. So, you may need to create an email template with this folder attachment (E:\logtosend) and schedule it. Once done, you will find that the received attachments include the previous logs every time, at this time, this option is very useful, it ensures that your colleagues will no longer receive duplicate and expired logs.
- [Show screenshots of sample recipients files when selecting or using them.] - if you want to see the examples (screenshots and sample files) of all types of recipients files, just check it. Default: checked.
Tips: we recommend you let it to be checked always to get the better experience.
